Cast your line and reel in rewards! Fishing on your island offers more than just a peaceful escape—it’s a great way to gain valuable island experience. Turn your catch into unique custom recipes, or sell your fish for extra gold to boost your island’s fortune!

Fishing Mechanics

As you level up your fishing rod, when reeling in fish, you will receive the primary fishing drop (the first item listed for that catch) along with a few additional side catches, which can be any fish beneath the main catch. Fishing rod perks only affect the primary fish caught, not the side catches.

Fishing is now based on a new Particle System, which determines the quality of your catch and Fishing Combo.

When your Fishing Rod gets a bite, random colored particles appear on the bobber.
Reeling in the right particles will increase your Fishing Combo, which improves future fish spawn rates.
Red Particles provide the highest Fishing Combo progress.
Fishing Rods now stay in the water after successfully catching a fish.
Manual fishing now has a 100% catch success rate.

Fresh Vs Farmed Fish

Fish caught by Players will drop as "Fresh Fish" and will sell for 100% value.
Fish caught by Auto Bots will drop as "Farmed Fish" and will sell for 20% value.
Custom Recipes with Fishing ingredients will have two parts now, one for Fresh ingredients and one for Farmed ingredients.

Fishing Artifacts

Fishing Artifacts are the chance to fish up adventure loot. Depending on the fish you are catching you will get adventure loot from one of the 3 adventures. Fishing Artifacts can be affected by Fishing rod /is tool attributes, Treasure armor sets from Fishing Realm, Fishing mask, and Fishing pet

Fished Out

Each island now has a tiered **Fishing Capacity Limit**, increasing with island levels.

**Island Level 1 → 100 Fish**
**Island Level 12+ → 1,000 Fish**

Island Upgrades Can be bought to increase your Fish Capacity to up to +500.

Fishing Reset Schedule

**All islands now have their Fishing Limits reset at 12 PM & 12 AM CST.**
If your island hits its **Fishing Limit**, fishing is disabled **until the next scheduled reset**.
Use `/events` or hold a Fishing Rod on a **Fished-Out Island** to check the next reset time.

Fishing Rod Island Lock

**Once a Fishing Rod is used on an island, it is locked to that island until the next reset.**
You **cannot** take the same Fishing Rod to another island after fishing one out.
The Fishing Rod's **Island Lock status** is displayed in its lore.
